Stretch and feel ahh-mazing.
And not just because the endorphins kicked in.
That’s also the feel-good stepping up with working out in good lookin’ active wear made with organic cotton and is fair-trade.
Stretchery – a brand founded by Jeenie Madan & Nirali Mehta, is making all the right noises in fitness circles across Delhi & NCR with T-shirts made from certified organic cotton.Organic cotton ensures its great for people with allergies or sensitive skin. That would be me in the second bracket.
‘Fair-trade ensures a respect for the social, economic and labour rights of farmers and workers along the entire supply chain. It encourages sustainable farming practices, protects the environment and improves the quality of health and well being for farmers and workers.’ ~ Stretchery Website
My current fitness regime primarily involves Strength and Cardio training at the Gym and a home-based Yoga practice.
Go, Tara Stiles! with her yummy ‘Strala at Home’ series.
While cotton is fabulous for a Yoga session, at the gym I kind of love the compression and streamlined look the regular international fitness brands offer. My only apprehension was that would a cotton T-shirt give me both function & form?
In short, would it fit well for both a relaxed and an intense workout.
It’s a winner at the Yoga test. The T-shirt is 95% Cotton & 5% Lycra, ensuring a fit that is just the right amount of relaxed .
So while you get the space and stretchiness, there is no compromise on shapeliness.
Plus, the humidity these days is a bummer and demands breathability.
Stretchery, thumbs up.
Loved the stylish, little details like this keyhole on the back. ♥
The next day I wore it to the Gym for an hour-long cardio session on the treadmill, cross-trainer, arc-trainer and some core workout.
The T-shirt worked well , hugging me just right – not high-compression and not just hanging in there either. The cotton-lycra mix is perfect to give you that relaxed fit with a great shape. Woot! The gym sadly has a no-picture policy on the gym floor. Unfair in a world running on visual stories.
But. I managed a selfie in the locker room though. Wicked.
The Tees also seem tailor-made for running with their comfy yet just-about-right fit. It’s also something I find good to wear beyond workouts, with my denims. Take a look at their gorgeous Look-Book.
